Stained Glass Pictures & Windows
My father once told me he fixed stained glass church windows after the war; I thought it sounded fun. I found an evening class and my love for stained glass began. In 2009 I was made redundant and I now work from home creating glass sun catchers, pictures and windows.
Rather than the traditional lead Method used in stained glass windows I use the copper foil method, known as Tiffany style, as this allows for a more intricate design. Each piece of glass is hand cut, ground, washed, edged with copper foil and soldered and then washed again. I make each one a felt bag and the item is ready to sell.
